Aluminum plates are rectangular plates rolled from aluminum ingots. They are divided into pure aluminum plates, alloy aluminum plates, thin aluminum plates, medium-thick aluminum plates, and patterned aluminum plates.
The aluminum and aluminum alloy group is divided into nine categories. Among them, 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 series aluminum and aluminum alloys are the main ones, and other series are less likely to be used in actual use.
Series 1: Industrial pure aluminum
Since the 1000 series aluminum alloy does not contain other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap. It is currently the most commonly used series in conventional industry.
Series 2: Aluminum-copper alloy
The 2000 series aluminum plate is characterized by high hardness, among which the copper element content is the highest, about 3-5%. 2000 series aluminum rods are aviation aluminum materials and are not commonly used in conventional industries.
Series 3: Aluminum-manganese alloy
Haomei Aluminum 3000 series aluminum plate production technology is relatively excellent. 3000 series aluminum rods are mainly composed of manganese. The content is between 1.0-1.5, which is a series with better anti-rust function.
Series 4: Aluminum-silicon alloy
The representative of 4000 series aluminum rods is 4A01. The 4000 series aluminum plates belong to the series with higher silicon content. Usually the silicon content is between 4.5-6.0%. It belongs to construction materials, mechanical parts forging materials, and welding materials; it has low melting point and good corrosion resistance. Product description: It has the characteristics of heat resistance and wear resistance.
5 Series: Aluminum-magnesium alloy
5000 series aluminum rods belong to the more commonly used alloy aluminum plate series, called aluminum-magnesium alloy, and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. The weight of aluminum-magnesium alloy is lower than other series under the same area. It is also widely used in conventional industries. In my country, the 5000 series aluminum plate is one of the more mature aluminum plate series.
6 series: aluminum magnesium silicon alloy
The 6000 series aluminum alloy represents 6061, which mainly contains magnesium and silicon, so it combines the advantages of the 4000 series and the 5000 series. 6061 is a cold-processed aluminum forged product suitable for applications requiring high corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. Good workability, easy coating and good processability.
7 series: aluminum zinc magnesium copper alloy
The 7000 series aluminum alloy represents 7075, which mainly contains zinc. It also belongs to the aviation series. It is an aluminum-magnesium-zinc-copper alloy. It is a heat-treatable alloy. It is a superhard aluminum alloy and has good wear resistance. It also has good weldability, but poor corrosion resistance.
8 series: other alloys
Eight series: The most commonly used 8000 series aluminum alloy is 8011, which belongs to other series. Most of them are used in aluminum foil, and are less commonly used in the production of aluminum rods.
Series 9: Spare Alloy
9000 series aluminum alloys are the alternative alloys.

Color coated aluminum plate sheet
Color-coated aluminum plate is an aluminum alloy plate that has been surface-coated. One or more layers of special coatings are usually applied to the surface of the aluminum plate to increase its aesthetics, weather resistance and corrosion resistance. This coating can be paint or coating of various colors. Common ones include polyester coating (PE), fluorocarbon coating (PVDF), polyurethane coating, etc.
Mirror aluminum plate
It refers to the aluminum plate that is processed by various methods such as rolling and grinding to give the surface of the plate a mirror effect.
Embossed aluminum sheet
Embossed aluminum plate can also be called aluminum embossed plate: it is an aluminum product that is based on aluminum plate and formed with various patterns on the surface through rolling processing. It is widely used, mainly used in packaging, construction, curtain walls, etc.
Anodized aluminum plate
An aluminum plate is formed by placing an aluminum plate in a corresponding electrolyte (such as sulfuric acid, chromic acid, oxalic acid, etc.) as an anode, and electrolysis is performed under specific conditions and applied current. The aluminum plate of the anode is oxidized, and a thin layer of aluminum oxide is formed on the surface. Its thickness is 5 to 20 microns, and the hard anodized film can reach 60 to 200 microns.
Brushed aluminum plate
The manufacturing process of repeatedly scraping out lines from the aluminum plate with sandpaper is divided into three parts: deesterification, sand grinder and water washing.
Perforated aluminum plate
The perforated aluminum plate is an aluminum alloy plate that has been stamped. Usually during the manufacturing process, a series of holes or patterns are punched out on the aluminum plate through mechanical equipment, with a thickness of .3-5mm.
Aluminum sheets can be processed using a variety of techniques such as rolling, extrusion, casting or forging. Each method produces different properties and surface finishes.
Commonly used alloys: 1xxx series (pure aluminum), 3xxx series (aluminum manganese), 5xxx series (aluminum magnesium), 6xxx series (aluminum magnesium silicon), 7xxx series (aluminum zinc magnesium), etc.
Commonly used alloys: 6xxx series (aluminum magnesium silicon) is one of the most commonly used alloys for extrusion processing. These alloys are suitable for manufacturing aluminum profiles of various shapes.
Commonly used alloys: Cast aluminum plates usually use alloys such as 2xxx series (aluminum copper) or 7xxx series (aluminum zinc magnesium). These alloys can be used to produce aluminum alloy castings, such as engine parts, automobile wheels, etc.
Commonly used alloys: 7xxx series (aluminum zinc magnesium) alloy is one of the more commonly used aluminum alloys for forging because of its excellent forging performance and strength. These alloys are often used to produce aircraft structural parts.
The selection of these alloys in various processing technologies is based on their specific properties and processing requirements to ensure that the final product has the required mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and appearance quality.

Standard specifications for aluminum plates are usually formulated and managed by standardization organizations or industry associations in various countries or regions. The following are some common aluminum plate standard specifications:
ASTM international standards
ASTM International Standards: The American ASTM International Standards Organization has issued many standards related to aluminum plates, including:
ISO international standards
ISO international standards: The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has also issued some standard specifications for aluminum plates, such as:
The specific cleaning steps for aluminum plates are as follows:
Note: Do not clean the hot board surface (when the temperature exceeds 40 °C), because the rapid evaporation of water is harmful to the paint on the board surface!
Special attention should be paid to choosing appropriate detergent. A basic principle is: be sure to use neutral detergent! Please do not use strong alkaline detergents such as potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate, strong acidic detergents, abrasive detergents and paint-soluble detergents.
