1060 H22 Aluminum
1060 H22 aluminum alloy is a deformed hardened product of 1060 aluminum in the H22 condition. Its strength and hardness are between the fully annealed (O condition) and fully hard (H28 condition) states, offering excellent formability, ductility, and good strength. It is suitable for applications that require moderate hardness and workability.
H22 Condition 1060 Aluminum
The H22 condition indicates that 1060 aluminum has undergone two stages of partial cold-working hardening (such as cold rolling or cold extrusion) and is then partially annealed at the end, resulting in a higher strength than the H14 (partially hardened) condition while still maintaining good formability and ductility.
1060 H22 Aluminum Alloy Composition
1060 aluminum alloy belongs to the pure aluminum series and contains more than 99% aluminum content, with almost no other alloying elements. Due to its high purity, it exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance and good electrical conductivity.

1060 H22 Aluminum Mechanical Properties
- Strength: The strength of 1060-H22 is between H14 (lower hardness) and H28 (higher hardness), typically offering moderate hardness and strength, approximately one-quarter of the strength between annealed (O) and fully hard (H28). The specific values depend on the shape and processing method of the aluminum, but generally, its tensile strength can reach 130-180 MPa, with yield strength between 70-90 MPa.
- Hardness: The hardness of 1060 aluminum in this state is higher but still retains a certain level of ductility, making it suitable for applications that require a certain strength while maintaining good workability.
1060 H22 Aluminum Physical Properties
- Good electrical and thermal conductivity: As a pure aluminum alloy, 1060-H22 aluminum exhibits very good electrical and thermal conductivity, making it widely used in the electrical industry.
- Corrosion resistance: Due to the high percentage of pure aluminum, 1060 aluminum alloy has strong corrosion resistance in the atmosphere, especially when not exposed to strong acids or alkalis.
1060 H22 Aluminum Workability
- Formability and ductility: 1060-H22 aluminum alloy has good formability, making it suitable for cold processing, bending, deep drawing, stretching, and other processes. Although its strength is higher compared to H14 and H16, its ductility remains good.
- Weldability: The weldability of this alloy in the H22 condition is good, and it can be welded using common methods such as TIG welding, spot welding, etc.
- Surface treatment: 1060 aluminum alloy can undergo various surface treatments such as anodizing, spraying, and electroplating to enhance its appearance and corrosion resistance.
