1050-H26 aluminum alloy is a special condition of 1050 aluminum alloy, belonging to the moderately cold-worked hardening state. It is commonly used in applications that require higher strength and good formability. 1050 aluminum alloy itself contains 99.5% aluminum, offering excellent formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. In the case of 1050-H26, after undergoing strain hardening treatment, its strength is increased while still maintaining good workability.
1050 aluminum alloy is a very pure aluminum alloy, containing 99.5% aluminum, and has excellent formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance.
1050-H26 aluminum is 1050 aluminum in the H26 condition. To reach this condition, the metal undergoes strain hardening followed by partial annealing, giving it a strength that is about three-quarters of the strength between annealed (O) and fully hard (H28) states.
1050 H26 Aluminum Alloy:
Formability and Workability
1050 aluminum alloy itself has excellent formability and workability, which means that 1050-H26 aluminum alloy remains easy to process, suitable for applications that require bending, stamping, or other forms of processing, while maintaining a certain level of strength.
The strength of the H26 condition is higher than that of H22 (lightly cold-worked state) but lower than that of H28 (fully hard state), making it ideal for applications that require higher strength without the need for extremely high hardness.
Strength and Hardness
The 1050 aluminum alloy in the H26 condition undergoes strain hardening and partial annealing, resulting in a strength that is three-quarters of the strength between the annealed (O) and fully hard (H28) states. This provides appropriate strength for many applications that require higher strength, while still maintaining good formability.
With higher strength, it still retains appropriate ductility, preventing the material from becoming too brittle or difficult to process.
Corrosion Resistance
Due to the high purity of 1050 aluminum alloy, its corrosion resistance is excellent, making it particularly suitable for use in harsh environments. Even in damp or highly corrosive environments, 1050-H26 aluminum alloy exhibits good corrosion resistance.
Weldability
1050 aluminum alloy has excellent weldability and can be welded using standard aluminum welding techniques, making it suitable for parts and structures that require welding.
